Uttar Pradesh Police have dismantled an alleged child trafficking network operating across multiple districts after tracing a missing teenager. Four accused have been arrested, and a minor was rescued during the operation, highlighting the efforts of law enforcement to combat child trafficking.
Police in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, have uncovered an alleged child trafficking racket and arrested four individuals suspected of being involved in the illegal network. The breakthrough came during an investigation into the disappearance of a teenage boy who had gone missing several days earlier.
According to DSP Varun Mishra, authorities launched a search operation after receiving information about the missing 14–15-year-old boy. As the investigation progressed, police uncovered evidence suggesting the involvement of an organized child trafficking gang.
During the operation, police rescued a 17-year-old minor from the possession of the accused. Officials stated that the gang allegedly targeted children of different age groups and backgrounds, making the case a matter of serious concern for law enforcement agencies.
All four accused have been taken into custody and are reported to be residents of different districts. Police are now investigating the extent of the network, including whether additional individuals were involved and whether similar incidents may be linked to the gang’s activities.
Authorities are also examining the methods used by the suspects to identify and approach vulnerable children. Further inquiries are underway to determine the full scope of the trafficking operation and identify any additional victims.
The case underscores the importance of coordinated police action in tackling child trafficking and protecting minors from exploitation. Officials have assured that strict legal action will be taken against those found responsible.
