89,600 Explosive Sticks Seizure: NIA Arrests Another Key Accused

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another accused in connection with the seizure of a large consignment of illegal explosives in Malappuram, Kerala. According to the agency, the accused was arrested on Saturday from Manjeri in Malappuram district.

The NIA said the latest accused is a main conspirator who was allegedly involved in the illegal procurement of the explosives seized in the case. The arrest is part of the agency’s continuing investigation into the larger conspiracy behind the illegal explosives consignment.

The latest arrest came a day after the NIA arrested three more accused from Vijayapura in Karnataka on Friday. With the latest development, the total number of arrests in the case has reached 10.

The case relates to the seizure of 89,600 explosive sticks and 10,500 shock tubes from a lorry parked inside the compound of Farha Hollow Bricks Company on the Chemmad-Thalappara Road in Malappuram.

The NIA is continuing its investigation into the larger conspiracy and illegal procurement network connected with the seized explosives. The agency is working to establish the involvement of other individuals and uncover the full circumstances surrounding the consignment.
