Security agencies have arrested Haobijam Dilip Singh, a key leader of the banned militant outfit Kangleipak Communist Party, during a joint operation conducted in Delhi.

According to officials, Singh had reportedly travelled to the national capital to attend a clandestine meeting when he was apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell in coordination with Manipur Police and central intelligence agencies.

Authorities stated that more than 12 cases under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act are registered against the accused, indicating his alleged involvement in militant and unlawful activities.

Following his interrogation, security forces launched a recovery operation in Kakching district of Manipur, where they seized a substantial cache of arms, ammunition, and related supplies.

Officials said the recovered items included weapons, ammunition, bags of various colours, a tarpaulin sheet, plastic bags, and a Redmi 13C mobile phone. Investigators are examining the materials to identify operational networks and possible links with other insurgent activities in the region.
