Bihar Set for New Leadership as Samrat Choudhary Emerges BJP’s CM Pick
Samrat Choudhary has been unanimously elected as the BJP legislature party leader in Bihar, clearing the way for him to become the next Chief Minister of the state. The decision was announced after a meeting of the BJP legislature party in Patna, where Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, serving as the central observer, confirmed the unanimous choice.
Choudhary’s name will now be formally endorsed at a joint meeting of NDA legislators before he proceeds to stake claim to form the government. The political transition follows the resignation of Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister after dissolving his Cabinet. In his response, Choudhary thanked the BJP leadership for its trust and pledged to work for Bihar’s development under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The swearing-in ceremony is expected to take place tomorrow.
