Focus on Fair Polling Conditions in Bengal, Says Election Commission Official

The Election Commission wants to create a secure and conducive environment for free and fair polling in West Bengal, an official said on Monday.

Poll officials held separate meetings with senior civil and police officers of each district of the state during the day to review election preparedness.

District magistrates, SPs, commissioners of police and district force coordinators of Central Armed Police Forces outlined a zero-tolerance stance against electoral malpractices and any attempts to influence voters.
