Summer holidays approaching, many people are planning to travel abroad. One of the favorite destinations for Indians is Singapore. Known for its cleanliness, order and safety, this country has some strict regulations that travelers should be aware of in advance.

Smoking is banned in most of the public places there. Smoking is not allowed in places like parks, bus stops, and restaurants. It is only allowed in certain areas. Similarly, the sale and import of chewing gum and other mouth-spitting products are also banned. Spitting, throwing paper or cigarette butts in public places are also punishable by fines.

Also, food should not be eaten in public transport vehicles. Roads should be crossed only at marked places. Drug-related crimes are punishable by very severe penalties.
