Bengal Poll Battle Heats Up with Rahul’s Sharp Remarks

Rahul Gandhi on Saturday launched a sharp political attack on both Narendra Modi and Mamata Banerjee during an election rally in Serampore.

Addressing supporters in Hooghly district, Gandhi accused both leaders of favouring the rich over the poor and being focused on retaining political power rather than public welfare.

He alleged that while Mamata Banerjee was helping wealthy sections in West Bengal, Prime Minister Modi was doing the same across the country.

The Congress leader further claimed that neither government had done enough to create employment opportunities and said both were more interested in power than serving people.

Gandhi also accused Modi of “selling off the country” despite projecting himself as a patriot.

The remarks come amid intense campaigning for the ongoing West Bengal Assembly elections, where the Indian National Congress is contesting independently after two decades.
