India Invites Recommendations for Top Civilian Honours

Nominations and recommendations for the Padma Awards 2027 have opened from March 15, 2026, through the National Awards Portal and will be accepted online only until July 31, 2026.

The Padma Awards are among India’s highest civilian honours and recognise exceptional contributions across a wide range of fields.

The awards comprise three categories — Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri.

These honours are conferred annually to individuals who have made distinguished achievements in areas such as art, literature, education, science, medicine, social work, public affairs, sports, civil service, and industry.

Citizens have been encouraged to submit nominations and recommendations through the official online portal within the stipulated timeline.
