Indian Drone Startup Targets ₹200 Crore Expansion Funding
Home-grown drone manufacturing startup BonV Aero is planning to raise ₹200 crore to support expansion and set up a new manufacturing facility in Bhubaneswar, according to a senior company official.
Speaking to PTI, Satyabrata Satapathy said the company plans to secure funding from institutional investors, including venture capital firms, family offices, and private equity investors.
He said the proposed ₹200 crore fundraise would be used for the company’s upcoming expansion initiatives.
BonV Aero has recently acquired 30 acres of land in Bhubaneswar to establish a full-fledged drone manufacturing plant.
Satapathy added that investments of up to ₹300 crore are expected to be made in multiple phases for the manufacturing facility.
The development is seen as a boost to India’s growing drone manufacturing ecosystem and domestic technology sector.
