two buses collided head-on near Rasiyabad
Haridwar, Uttarakhand: A major road accident was averted in the Shyampur area of Haridwar district.
A private bus and a roadways bus collided head-on on the highway near Rasiyabad, injuring approximately 10 to 15 passengers. It is reported that the private bus was returning from Dehradun with a wedding procession to Nangal Soti (Bijnor), while the roadways bus was coming from Bijnor towards Haridwar.
The two buses collided head-on near Rasiyabad. The police and rescue team acted swiftly and evacuated the trapped passengers safely.
All the injured were transported to the nearest hospital for treatment. The injured were identified as Anish (60), Murad Ali, Suhail, Naeem, and Nazir Shah (55), all residents of Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh. There was no loss of life in this accident.
