One Killed, Six Injured After School Bus Rams Into Food Cart in Mainpuri

A tragic accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri claimed one life and left six others injured after a school bus belonging to RS Educational Academy crashed into a street food cart near the Circle Officer’s office in Gihar Colony under the Bhogaon police station area.

According to Bhogaon Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Krishna Dwivedi, several people were eating at the roadside stall when the bus, which was dropping off schoolchildren, lost control and struck the cart. Seven people were injured in the incident, and one of the critically injured victims later died during treatment at a hospital. The remaining six sustained minor injuries. Police have seized the bus, while the driver fled the scene and is currently absconding. A case will be registered under relevant sections once a formal complaint is received.
