Delhi Cyber Arrest Dating App Fraudster in Romance Scam
The Cyber Police of Delhi’s South-West District have arrested a cyber fraudster accused of targeting women through dating and matrimonial platforms in a long-running romance scam racket.
The accused, identified as Anand Kumar, a resident of West Bengal, allegedly used fake identities on online dating and matrimonial apps to lure women into emotional relationships, later extorting and blackmailing them through honey-trapping schemes. According to police, Kumar had been involved in such fraudulent activities for an extended period, exploiting victims through deception and intimidation.
Investigators are now probing the extent of the network and examining whether more victims or accomplices are linked to the case.
