Anti-Drug Operation Targets Poppy Fields in Larnoo

Police in Anantnag have destroyed an illegal opium poppy crop spread over approximately four marlas of land in the Lovlupora area of Larnoo.

According to officials, a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act against Gh Ahmad Sheikh, also known as Ama Khoja, a resident of Deesu.

The action is part of an ongoing anti-narcotics campaign aimed at eliminating illegal cultivation and curbing drug-related activities in the region.

Authorities reiterated a zero-tolerance policy toward narcotics cultivation and warned that strict legal action will be taken against offenders.
