Punjab Police Bust ISI-Linked Cross-Border Terror Module, Recover Grenades and Foreign Weapons
In a major counter-terror operation, Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence Wing has busted a Pakistan ISI-backed cross-border terror module in a joint operation conducted by SSOC Amritsar and SSOC Mohali.
One accused has been arrested, and security forces recovered four hand grenades, two foreign-made pistols, and ammunition from his possession. Preliminary investigations indicate that the accused was operating under instructions from foreign-based handlers and has links to the terror network involved in the recent grenade attack in Chandigarh.
An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operation Cell police station in Amritsar, and further investigations are underway to trace and apprehend other members of the module. Punjab Police said the operation is part of its continued efforts to dismantle organized terror networks and ensure public safety.
