Jaishankar, Ajit Doval Hold Talks with Ukraine Security Chief Rustem Umerov in Delhi

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval held separate meetings in New Delhi with Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council.

According to official statements, Dr Jaishankar discussed bilateral cooperation between India and Ukraine and exchanged views on the ongoing Ukraine conflict. In a separate meeting, Ajit Doval reviewed bilateral ties with Umerov and reiterated India’s principled position in favour of a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.

The high-level engagements reflect continuing diplomatic consultations between India and Ukraine on bilateral and global security issues.
