ED Vehicle Attacked Near Pinarayi Vijayan’s Residence, BJP Reacts Strongly
The Bharatiya Janata Party strongly criticised the alleged attack on Enforcement Directorate officials during raids near former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s residence, calling the incident a direct assault on accountability and the rule of law.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday strongly condemned the alleged attack on officials of the Enforcement Directorate during raids conducted outside the residence of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram.
Reacting sharply to the incident, BJP Kerala state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar described the attack as a threat to democratic institutions and an attempt to obstruct accountability.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Chandrasekhar stated, “Violence is the last refuge of the corrupt,” while accusing the Communist Party of India (Marxist) of being uncomfortable with investigative scrutiny.
He further alleged that the attack on ED officials and damage to their vehicle reflected growing intolerance towards law enforcement agencies carrying out official duties. According to BJP leaders, such incidents weaken public trust in democratic institutions and undermine the rule of law.

The incident reportedly occurred during ED-related operations near Vijayan’s residence in Thiruvananthapuram. Political reactions intensified soon after visuals and reports of the confrontation emerged, leading to a fresh political war of words between the BJP and the CPI(M) in Kerala.
While the BJP demanded strict action against those responsible, leaders from the ruling Left camp are yet to issue a detailed response regarding the allegations surrounding the incident.
The controversy has once again brought central investigative agencies and state-level political tensions into focus, especially in Kerala, where political confrontations between the BJP and Left parties have frequently escalated over corruption probes and enforcement actions.
