KOLKATA: The political temperature in West Bengal reached a boiling point today as BJP MP and star campaigner Manoj Tiwari landed in Kolkata to spearhead a five-point campaign marathon. The day began at 10:00 AM with a massive roadshow originating from Pincol More, snaking through the narrow lanes of North Kolkata toward Babughat. Tiwari, known for his mass appeal among the youth and the Hindi-speaking electorate, leveraged his popularity to bolster the BJP’s narrative of “parivartan” (change).

Addressing a crowded rally in Naihati, Tiwari launched a scathing attack on the TMC leadership, alleging that the ruling party has “exhausted its mandate” through a series of administrative failures and institutionalized corruption. “The pride of Bengal has been compromised for over a decade. Tiwari’s schedule included a significant public meeting in Belgachia and a final, late-evening roadshow in Howrah Uttar. Political analysts view this “blitzkrieg” as a strategic move to secure the urban vote bank just ten days before Phase 1 of the Assembly elections. The BJP is leaving no stone unturned, deploying star power to counter the TMC’s localized grassroots machinery.
