TMC Offices Targeted Amid BJP Victory Celebrations

Incidents of arson and damage reported across multiple areas as celebrations turn tense

Stray incidents of violence were reported across West Bengal on Monday following the landslide victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

According to police, several offices of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) were vandalised in areas including Tollygunge, Baruipur, Kamarhati, Baranagar, Baharampur, Howrah, and Kasba.

In the Bijoygarh–Netajjnagar area of Tollygunge, the election office of TMC candidate and former minister Aroop Biswas was among those attacked. Visuals showed damaged hoardings and property, with some individuals seen kicking broken materials before dispersing.

Authorities are monitoring the situation and are expected to step up security to prevent further incidents.

The developments highlight tensions in the aftermath of the election results, with law enforcement agencies working to maintain order across the state
