The 15th edition of the Delhi International Film Festival was inaugurated at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in New Delhi, marking the beginning of a major cultural event celebrating global cinema.
The opening ceremony at the Samvet Auditorium featured prominent personalities including Usha Uthup, Runa Laila, celebrated artist Jatin Das, and acclaimed filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan.

The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the felicitation of distinguished guests.
Organised in collaboration with IGNCA—an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Culture—the festival opened with the screening of Her Story, a drama that explores the life of a single mother in Shanghai balancing personal and professional challenges.
The festival aims to showcase diverse cinematic voices from across the world and foster cultural exchange through film.
