Shraddha Kapoor Reunites with Dinesh Vijan for Cultural Drama ‘Eetha’

Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor is all set to headline Eetha, a film inspired by the life of celebrated Marathi Lavani exponent Vithabai Narayangaonkar. The makers have announced that the film will hit theatres on August 28.

The project also features Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles. Produced under the banner of Maddock Films, the film is backed by producer Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar.

Eetha marks Kapoor’s reunion with Vijan following their successful collaboration on the Stree franchise, which emerged as one of Bollywood’s most popular film series in recent years.

The film is expected to bring to life the extraordinary journey of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, widely regarded as one of the greatest performers of Lavani. Known for her captivating stage presence and immense contribution to Maharashtra’s cultural heritage, Vithabai played a pivotal role in popularising the art form across generations.

Producer Dinesh Vijan and director Laxman Utekar have previously collaborated on the acclaimed historical drama Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, making Eetha another highly anticipated venture from the duo.
