Kolkata Police Officer’s Residence Among Premises Searched by ED

The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday carried out searches at nine locations linked to the case involving Sona Pappu and Santanu Sinha Biswas across Kolkata and Murshidabad. Officials said the raids were based on findings that emerged during custodial interrogation of the accused and other individuals connected to the investigation.

The Enforcement Directorate is conducting searches at nine premises in Kolkata and Murshidabad in connection with the case involving Sona Pappu and Santanu Sinha Biswas, officials said on Thursday.

According to investigators, the premises being searched include those linked to Md Ali, also known as Max Raju, as well as properties connected to Saurav Adhikari, identified as the nephew of Santanu Sinha Biswas. Authorities are also searching the Murshidabad residence of Santanu Sinha Biswas.

Officials stated that the raids are being conducted based on information and findings that surfaced during custodial interrogation of the accused and other persons associated with the investigation.

The search operations also reportedly cover the residence of Ruhil Amin Ali, a sub-inspector with Kolkata Police, who is alleged to be a close associate of Santanu Sinha Biswas.

The Enforcement Directorate is continuing its investigation into the financial and criminal links connected to the case. Further details regarding the nature of the allegations, recovered documents, or possible arrests are awaited as the searches continue.
