Girls Outperform Boys, Pass Percentage Rises to 93.70%

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the Class 10 board examination results, with the overall pass percentage rising slightly to 93.70 percent this year, compared to 93.66 percent last year.

Girls once again outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of 94.99 percent—1.3 percentage points higher than boys.

This year marks the introduction of CBSE’s new two-edition board exam format for Class 10, with all students required to appear in the first edition, the results of which have now been declared.

Over 24.71 lakh students appeared for the examination across 8,074 centres. Officials said 55,368 students scored above 95 percent marks, while 2,21,574 students secured above 90 percent.

More than 1.47 lakh candidates have been placed in the compartment category, slightly fewer than last year.
