NIT Kurukshetra Student Found Dead in Hostel Room, Campus Protests Erupt

B.Tech student of the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra was found dead in her hostel room in Kurukshetra, Haryana, in an apparent case of suicide, police said. According to KUK Police Station Incharge Vishal Kumar, the incident came to light after the student was discovered hanging in her room, following which police and forensic teams rushed to the spot to begin an investigation.

The student’s body has been kept in the mortuary, and her family has been informed. Officials said further action will depend on the post-mortem and forensic reports. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked protests on campus, with students demanding clarity and accountability from the administration.
