NIA Court Order Leads to Property Attachment in JeM Terror Case
National Investigation Agency on Wednesday attached several properties belonging to a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror operative in connection with the 2017 fidayeen attack on a Central Reserve Police Force camp, in which five personnel were killed and three others seriously injured.
The attachment was carried out under Section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, following recent orders of the NIA Special Court in Jammu. Officials described the move as a significant step toward dismantling terror networks operating in Jammu and Kashmir.
The immovable assets attached include multiple land parcels and residential premises located in Lethpora under the Awantipora police station area of Pulwama district.
According to investigators, the properties were considered proceeds of terrorism and belonged to accused Fayaz Ahmed Magray. Fayaz, a resident of Lethpora, was arrested in connection with the case in February 2019.
