108 Naxalites Quit in a Day; Rs 3.61 Cr Cash, 1 kg Gold Seized!

Last year, Home Minister Amit Shah had promised to completely eradicate Naxalites from India. In that regard, bounties have been announced and many are surrendering. In the remaining areas, surprise raids are being conducted and Naxalites are being caught, arrested and imprisoned. In that regard, 108 Naxalites surrendered with weapons in one day alone yesterday.

The incident is being seen as a major development in the area. Based on information provided by the surrendering Naxalites, the police conducted raids at their hideouts. Officials said that Rs 3.61 crore in cash and 1 kg of gold were seized.

The total reward amount announced earlier for the surrendering Naxalites is said to be Rs 3.95 crore. This incident is seen as a major development in the intensified security measures in the area.
