India’s Seafood Exports Cross ₹72,300 Crore in FY 2025-26
India’s seafood exports have risen to more than ₹72,300 crore in the financial year 2025-26, according to provisional data released by the Marine Products Export Development Authority.
The country’s seafood export volume reached over 19 lakh metric tonnes during the period.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said frozen shrimp remained the key growth driver, contributing more than ₹47,000 crore and accounting for over two-thirds of total export earnings.
It added that shrimp shipments grew by 4.6 per cent in volume and 6.35 per cent in value, reinforcing its position as the leading segment in India’s marine exports.
