Gaya Student Secures Top Rank in JEE Advanced 2026
Shubham Kumar from Bihar’s Gaya secured All India Rank 1 in JEE Advanced 2026 with an impressive score of 330 out of 360. The topper attributed his success to disciplined preparation, avoiding negative influences, and staying away from social media distractions throughout his exam journey.
Shubham Kumar, a native of Gaya in Bihar, has emerged as the All India Rank (AIR) 1 holder in the JEE Advanced 2026 examination, one of India’s most challenging and prestigious engineering entrance tests. The results, announced on Monday morning, showed that he scored an outstanding 330 marks out of a possible 360.
Speaking about his preparation strategy, Shubham said that staying away from negative news and limiting exposure to social media played a crucial role in helping him maintain focus. By minimizing distractions and concentrating on his academic goals, he was able to sustain consistency throughout the demanding preparation period.

Shubham’s achievement places him at the top of a highly competitive field comprising thousands of candidates from across the country. His success story highlights the importance of discipline, time management, and mental well-being in preparing for high-stakes examinations.
The second position in the national rankings was secured by Gurugram resident Kabeer Chillar, who scored 329 out of 360, missing the top rank by just one mark. The narrow margin between the top two candidates underscores the intense competition among the country’s brightest engineering aspirants.
The JEE Advanced examination serves as the gateway to admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Following the announcement of results, successful candidates will participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admissions into IITs and other premier engineering institutions.
