Following the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination amid allegations of a paper leak, advocate Satyam Singh Rajput strongly criticised the National Testing Agency, alleging repeated failures in conducting major entrance examinations fairly.

Speaking in Delhi, Rajput claimed that incidents of paper leaks and examination irregularities have repeatedly surfaced in NEET-related exams over the years, including in 2015, 2016, 2021, 2024, and now 2026.

He alleged that since the establishment of the NTA in 2017, cases involving examination fraud and malpractice have continued to rise instead of declining. Criticising the agency’s functioning, Rajput remarked that the organisation’s name should be changed from the “National Testing Agency” to the “National Tampering Agency”.

According to him, the NTA was originally created to ensure stricter, more transparent, and technology-driven examination systems. However, he argued that repeated controversies surrounding NEET-UG and NEET-PG examinations have damaged public confidence in the institution.

The remarks come amid growing nationwide outrage after the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination, which affected more than 22 lakh medical aspirants. The Central Bureau of Investigation has already launched a comprehensive probe into the alleged irregularities and paper leak case.
