Government School Principal Faces Charges in Hazaribag Harassment Case

A government school headmaster in Jharkhand’s Hazaribag district has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing girl students, officials said on Saturday. The accused has also been suspended from service following the allegations.

Police said an FIR was registered at Charhi Police Station on April 15 based on the complaint lodged by the mother of a 13-year-old girl.

District Superintendent of Education Akash Lal said the headmaster had allegedly been harassing students for several months, leading to fear among the girls and reluctance to attend school. Authorities said further investigation is underway.
