Leader of Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a sharp attack on the state government on Saturday, alleging that it has failed to fulfil promises made to the public and accusing it of facing a financial crisis.

Speaking in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav claimed that the government “has no money to do anything” and alleged that the state treasury is empty.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader questioned the delay in providing the second instalment of financial assistance promised to women and also raised concerns over pension payments. He accused the government of deceiving the people by making commitments that have not been implemented.

“The second instalment that was promised to women, when will it be given? When will pensions be provided? You have deceived the people,” Yadav said while criticising the administration.

He also took a swipe at the Chief Minister, saying statements made by the government leadership reflected flawed thinking and had become a subject of ridicule for the opposition.

The remarks come amid ongoing political sparring in Bihar over welfare schemes, fiscal management, and implementation of public assistance programmes ahead of future electoral contests in the state.
