Poll Campaign Heats Up as Mamata Leads One-Km Roadshow

Mamata Banerjee on Thursday led a colourful roadshow in her Bhabanipur constituency in south Kolkata as part of the ongoing election campaign.

Several leaders and workers of the All India Trinamool Congress, including Firhad Hakim, participated in the nearly one-kilometre roadshow that began near Banerjee’s Kalighat residence.

Large numbers of people lined both sides of the route to welcome the Chief Minister. Banerjee waved to supporters and stopped at various points to interact with members of the crowd, including children and elderly residents.

The roadshow added colour and energy to the poll campaign in Bhabanipur, one of the key constituencies in the state Assembly elections.
