WB Election 2026: Left Front to contest 252 seats, ISF 30, CPI(ML) Liberation 8
The Left Front on Wednesday announced it reached a seat-sharing arrangement with the ISF and CPI(ML) Liberation to contest the West Bengal assembly elections.
As per the seat-sharing arrangement reached among these outfits, the ISF will contest 30 seats and CPI(ML) Liberation will field candidates in eight assembly constituencies, Left Front chairman Biman Bose said in a statement.
He said the Left Front will field candidates in 252 of the 294 seats in the state, with the CPI(M) contesting 195 seats, All India Forward Bloc 23, CPI and RSP 16 each, and RCPI and Marxist Forward Bloc one each.
