The famous Tirupati laddu, the sacred prasadam distributed at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, has recorded its highest-ever monthly sales, crossing the 1.21 crore mark in May 2026.

According to an official release from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), a total of 1,21,35,528 laddus were sold during the month, setting a new benchmark in the temple’s history.

The latest figures surpass previous records set in the same month over the last two years. Laddu sales in May 2024 stood at approximately 1.01 crore, while May 2025 witnessed sales of around 1.10 crore. The 2026 figures indicate a substantial year-on-year increase, underscoring the growing number of devotees visiting the temple.

The Tirupati laddu is one of India’s most recognized religious offerings and holds a unique place in the spiritual traditions associated with Lord Venkateswara. Pilgrims visiting Tirumala consider receiving the laddu prasadam an integral part of their pilgrimage experience.

Temple authorities attributed the record-breaking sales to increased pilgrim turnout, improved crowd management measures, and the continued popularity of the sacred offering among devotees from across India and abroad.

The Tirumala temple remains one of the world’s most visited religious destinations, attracting millions of devotees annually. The growing demand for laddus reflects not only rising footfall but also the enduring spiritual significance of the prasadam.

TTD officials noted that the consistent rise in sales over the past few years demonstrates the expanding reach and popularity of the temple’s religious activities and services.
