Mohan Charan Majhi Praises BJP’s Historic Win in West Bengal
Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday expressed confidence that West Bengal would now receive a “stable and good government” as the Bharatiya Janata Party prepares to form the government in the state for the first time.
The BJP secured a decisive victory in the recently concluded West Bengal Assembly elections, winning 207 seats in the 294-member assembly and bringing an end to the 15-year rule of the All India Trinamool Congress government led by Mamata Banerjee.
Majhi, who was appointed as the BJP’s co-observer for West Bengal, described the election outcome as a major political milestone for the party.
“The Bengal election result came in favour of the BJP. It is a great opportunity to work under Union Home Minister Amit Shah as a co-observer,” he said.
The Odisha Chief Minister stated that the BJP government in West Bengal would focus on stability, governance and development while working towards fulfilling public expectations.

The election result is being viewed as one of the BJP’s most significant political breakthroughs in eastern India, significantly altering the political landscape of the region.
Political observers believe the BJP’s victory in Bengal could strengthen the party’s organisational and electoral influence across eastern and northeastern states in the coming years.
