Guwahati Gears Up for Grand NDA Oath-Taking Event
The BJP-led NDA government in Assam will be sworn in for a third straight term at a grand ceremony in Guwahati, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to attend.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government in Assam is set to take oath for a third consecutive term on May 12, marking another significant political milestone for the alliance in the northeastern state.
A high-level preparatory meeting regarding the swearing-in ceremony was held on Thursday in Guwahati in the presence of senior BJP leaders, including state BJP president Dilip Saikia.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Saikia announced that the oath-taking ceremony will be organised at the Veterinary College Playground.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the event as the chief guest.
Saikia also informed that the BJP Legislature Party meeting will take place on Sunday to elect the leader of the legislature party. Former BJP national president and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Nayab Singh Saini will attend the meeting as central observers.
According to party leaders, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, several Union ministers, and Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states are also expected to participate in the ceremony.
The event is expected to witness a large gathering of party workers, supporters and senior political leaders as the NDA prepares to begin another term in office in Assam.
