Nationwide Campaign Against Exam Irregularities Reaches Lucknow
Students and government job aspirants from various sectors assembled at Eco Garden in Lucknow on Friday to protest against alleged irregularities in examination and recruitment processes. The demonstration was led by Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
Protesters began gathering at the venue from the morning hours, raising concerns over what they described as repeated lapses in the conduct of competitive examinations and delays in recruitment procedures. The participants included candidates preparing for teaching, medical, revenue, administrative, and other government service examinations.
The demonstrators demanded transparency and accountability in the examination system, arguing that alleged paper leaks, procedural inconsistencies, and delays have adversely affected the futures of lakhs of aspirants who dedicate years to preparing for public sector jobs.
One of the key demands raised during the protest was the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, with participants alleging that stronger corrective measures were needed to restore confidence in the country’s examination and recruitment framework.
The protest forms part of a nationwide campaign initiated by the Cockroach Janta Party, which has previously organised similar demonstrations in Delhi and Pune to highlight the grievances of students and job seekers.
Many aspirants at the gathering expressed frustration over the uncertainty surrounding examinations and recruitment cycles, stating that repeated controversies have not only caused emotional distress but have also delayed career prospects and financial stability.
While authorities maintained law and order at the protest site, the demonstration once again brought the issue of examination integrity into the national spotlight. Calls for reforms, stricter anti-cheating mechanisms, timely recruitment, and greater institutional accountability continue to gain momentum among student groups across the country.
The Union Education Ministry has not issued an immediate response to the specific demands raised during the protest.
