Revenue Growth Boosts Coal India Net Profit

Coal India Limited on Monday reported an 11.1 percent rise in consolidated net profit to ₹10,839.18 crore for the March quarter, supported by higher revenue.

The Maharatna public sector company had posted a consolidated net profit of ₹9,751.64 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

In a filing to the BSE Limited, the company said revenue from operations increased to ₹46,490.03 crore during the quarter.

This compares with ₹43,961.56 crore recorded in the same quarter last fiscal.

The improved performance reflects stronger operational earnings and sustained demand in the coal sector.

Coal India Limited remains a key contributor to India’s energy supply and one of the country’s largest public sector enterprises.
