Noida International Airport has announced the commencement of commercial flight operations from June 15, 2026, marking a significant milestone in India’s aviation infrastructure.

The airport, inaugurated by Narendra Modi, received approval for its Aerodrome Security Programme from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, clearing the way for passenger operations.

IndiGo will operate the inaugural flight, followed by services from Akasa Air and Air India Express, expanding connectivity across domestic and international routes.

Strategically located to serve the National Capital Region and western Uttar Pradesh, the airport is expected to become a major aviation hub, enhancing passenger and cargo movement.

Developed as one of India’s largest greenfield airport projects, the first phase has been completed at an investment of approximately ₹11,200 crore under a public-private partnership model. The airport will initially handle 12 million passengers annually, with plans to scale up capacity to 70 million passengers per year upon full development.

The launch is expected to significantly ease congestion at existing airports in the Delhi region while boosting regional economic growth and connectivity.
