The record transaction volume underscores the growing trust and widespread adoption of UPI across consumers, businesses and merchants nationwide.
The Department of Financial Services, under the Ministry of Finance, acknowledged the achievement through a social media post, thanking citizens for embracing digital payment platforms and contributing to India’s digital transformation. The department credited the public’s participation for driving the success of the country’s cashless payment ecosystem.
The department also encouraged people to continue supporting the digital payments movement, emphasizing that widespread adoption of UPI is transforming the way India conducts financial transactions.
