Medical Aspirants Await Fresh NEET Date After Cancellation
Allegations of Question Paper Leak and Examination Irregularities Triggered the Decision
The cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 came after widespread allegations of examination irregularities, including suspected question paper leaks, unfair practices, and concerns over the integrity of the medical entrance examination.
According to preliminary findings and complaints received from multiple states, authorities began investigating reports that portions of the question paper may have been circulated before the exam. The issue sparked anxiety among students and parents, leading to demands for a re-examination to ensure fairness for all candidates.

The National Testing Agency later decided to cancel the examination to protect the credibility of the admission process and maintain equal opportunity for all aspirants.
Officials are now expected to conduct a fresh examination under tighter security measures, with revised admit cards, examination centres, and updated counselling schedules likely to be announced soon.
The development has affected more than 22 lakh candidates across the country, making it one of the largest examination disruptions in recent years. Students have been advised to regularly monitor the official NTA website for verified announcements regarding the revised examination calendar.
