80% of petroleum products unchanged; domestic LPG, petrol, diesel prices remain steady

In a move aimed at protecting domestic consumers from global fuel price volatility, Indian Oil Corporation stated that retail prices of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG (14.2 kg cylinders) remain unchanged.

The decision ensures stability for nearly 33 crore domestic LPG consumers across India, while also keeping Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices unchanged for domestic airline operations. Overall, around 80% of petroleum products have not witnessed any price change, providing relief to the majority of consumers.

However, revisions have been made in select categories. Prices of bulk and commercial LPG cylinders—constituting less than 1% of total consumption—have been increased. Additionally, bulk diesel and ATF for international airline operations have seen an upward revision in line with global market trends.

At the same time, nearly 4% of petroleum products have experienced a price reduction, reflecting the dynamic nature of international energy markets.
