Police, Army Seize AK-47, Grenades and Mortar Bomb in Churachandpur

Based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of an illegal cache of arms and explosives, a joint combing operation was carried out at Thangjing Ridge near Maovom Village and adjoining areas.

The operation was conducted by a combined team of the District Police and 2 JAK LI. During the search, security forces recovered a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition.

The seized items included one Chinese-made AK-47, three single-barrel guns, one pistol with a magazine, one Pompi gun, two 35mm grenades, and one 81mm mortar bomb.

According to Churachandpur Police, all recovered items have been handed over to the officer-in-charge of the local police station for further legal action and investigation.
