Israel Conducts Massive Wave of Strikes in Tehran; 13 Confirmed Dead
In a significant escalation of the ongoing West Asia conflict, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed early Monday morning that they have completed a “wave of precision strikes” targeting Iranian regime assets in the capital, Tehran. The strikes, which occurred between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM local time, hit several residential areas in Eslamshahr, a city southwest of Tehran, and the Sharif University neighborhood. Iranian state media reports that at least 13 people have been killed, with rescue teams still sifting through the rubble of a seven-story residential building.
The strikes have caused significant infrastructure damage, including a direct hit on a gas station near Sharif University, leading to widespread gas outages across Tehran’s District 9. While the IDF maintains that it targeted “regime infrastructure,” the high civilian death toll has sparked international outrage. This operation follows a profanity-laced ultimatum from US President Donald Trump, who warned Iran of “living in hell” if the Strait of Hormuz remained closed to global maritime traffic.
