Cricket Fraternity Mourns Former International Umpire Vikram Raju

Former international cricket umpire V. Vikram Raju passed away on Sunday at the age of 92, bringing to a close a distinguished career in cricket officiating that left a lasting mark on the sport.

Raju is best remembered for officiating in the legendary India vs Australia Tied Test 1986, one of the most dramatic encounters in cricket history. Played in Chennai, the match ended in only the second tied Test in the history of the game and remains one of cricket’s most celebrated contests.
