Addressing a political rally in Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh has seen major improvements in law and order, claiming that the state is now free from curfews and riots.

Referring to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, Adityanath said that in earlier years Ram devotees had faced police firing during protests and recalled meeting a Kar Sevak who alleged he was injured in the 1990 firing incident. He criticized parties such as the Samajwadi Party and accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of opposing religious traditions linked to Lord Ram and Durga Puja.

Highlighting the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, he said the temple became possible under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, asserting that only the BJP can ensure communal peace and strong governance.

Adityanath also said that his government would not permit cow slaughter and accused opposition parties of trying to divide Hindu society during elections.
