The crisis within the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) intensified on Thursday as Prakash Chik Baraik resigned from the Rajya Sabha, becoming the third party MP to step down this week.

According to sources, Baraik met C. P. Radhakrishnan and formally submitted his resignation from the Upper House.

In his resignation letter, the West Bengal MP stated:

“I do hereby resign from the membership of Rajya Sabha, which may please be accepted with immediate effect.”
