President Lee Jae Myung Arrives in India for Key Bilateral Talks

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung is scheduled to begin a state visit to India today, marking his first official trip to the country. He will be accompanied by First Lady Kim Hea Kyung and a high-level delegation of ministers, senior officials, and business leaders.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, President Lee will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance cooperation in shipbuilding, trade, investment, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, critical technologies, cultural ties, and people-to-people exchanges.

The two leaders are also expected to discuss regional and global developments of mutual interest. Prime Minister Modi will host a luncheon in honour of the visiting dignitary.

During the visit, President Lee will also meet President Droupadi Murmu, while External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is also scheduled to call on him.

India and South Korea share a strong strategic partnership built on civilisational ties, democratic values, and growing economic and technological cooperation.
