Indian Navy Stresses Combat Readiness Amid Geopolitical Challenges
Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi Embarks INS Himgiri to Witness Advanced Operational Drills
Dinesh K Tripathi visited the Eastern Naval Command and embarked aboard INS Himgiri to review operational preparedness and observe advanced combat exercises conducted by the Eastern Fleet, local flotilla units, submarines and maritime aircraft.
During the visit, the Navy Chief assessed combat drills and operational coordination involving multiple naval platforms as part of efforts to strengthen maritime readiness amid evolving regional security dynamics.
The Chief of Naval Staff praised the “Sunrise Fleet” for its seamless coordination, combat readiness, and ability to respond rapidly and precisely to any operational challenge.
Addressing naval personnel, Admiral Tripathi highlighted the Indian Navy’s operational philosophy with a strong message on preparedness, stating that “notice to steam must remain notice to combat.”
He also commended the Eastern Naval Command for maintaining high levels of combat capability and ensuring operationally ready platforms capable of delivering accurate firepower when required.
Against the backdrop of changing geopolitical developments and increasing maritime security concerns, the Navy Chief stressed that combat readiness, operational availability, and mission effectiveness must remain the Indian Navy’s highest priorities.
The visit reflects the Navy’s continued focus on strengthening operational preparedness, maritime surveillance, and strategic response capabilities across the Indian Ocean region.
