Fire Breaks Out at Hotel Near Lal Chowk in Srinagar, No Injuries Reported
A fire broke out at a hotel near Ghanta Ghar in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar, prompting a swift emergency response from the fire and emergency services. Multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot after authorities received information about the blaze at around 7:15 AM.
Fire officer Muzaffar Ali Bhat said the fire has largely been brought under control and cooling operations are currently underway. He confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident and all occupants are safe.
During the operation, officials found 15 commercial gas cylinders on the roof of the building. Authorities said the reason for storing the cylinders there is yet to be determined, and further investigation is underway.
