A joint counter-terror mock drill was conducted at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi to assess emergency response capabilities and strengthen coordination among security agencies.

In a social media post, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) said the exercise was carried out under the supervision of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Chief Airport Security Officer of the Aviation Security Group, along with senior officials from CISF and other stakeholder agencies.

The mock exercise involved personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force, Delhi Police, National Security Guard (NSG), Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, and several other agencies.

Officials said the coordinated drill was aimed at validating real-time crisis response mechanisms, improving inter-agency cooperation, and enhancing preparedness against emerging aviation security threats.

The exercise simulated emergency situations requiring rapid deployment, threat neutralisation, passenger safety management, and coordinated operational response.

According to CISF, the drill demonstrated swift action, seamless coordination, and operational readiness among participating agencies.
